Bullying Prohibition Policy

Tekoa Academy strictly prohibits bullying on school property, at school-sponsored or school-related activities, and in any vehicle operated by the District. Bullying may include verbal or written expression, electronic communication, or physical conduct.

Bullying will not be tolerated. Any student or parent who believes a student has experienced bullying, or who has knowledge that a student is engaging in bullying, is strongly encouraged to report the incident immediately. Retaliation against anyone involved in the complaint or investigation process is strictly prohibited and is a violation of District policy.

Reports of alleged bullying may be made orally or in writing to a teacher, counselor, principal, or any other District employee. An incident report form is available through the District and may be used to submit a formal complaint.

After a complaint is submitted, the District may assign the matter to a campus administrator for investigation and follow-up. Parents and students are encouraged to maintain communication with the designated campus administrator throughout the process.
