2019-2020 Girls STEM - Day 1

On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, twenty-eight middle school girls from Tekoa Academy of Accelerated Studies in Port Arthur and Orange traveled to Space Center Houston for “Girls STEM Academy”.  After a brief introduction to the history of human space exploration and an overview of the 5-week program, the girls visited the Starship Gallery where they saw multiple flown spacecraft and got to touch a moon rock.  Afterward, students presented the information they researched and learned during their visit.
